The following are directions for Skype 3.8 and Skype 4.0 .
In order to use Message Magic it must be connected to skype. Here is how you can verify that and also change it to allow communication if it was not set properly at time you installed it.
First step is to open up the “Manage API” to do this you click the two black arrows at the bottom of your main skype window. For location see image below. This is for Skype 3.8 only. For skype 4.0 go to next step.

For Skype 4.0 to get to the following screens you need to do these steps first:
On your main skype click “tools” tab scroll to bottom of list and choose “options” and the Skype Options window will open. Click on the “advanced” tab. At the bottom of this window you will see two arrows facing opposite directions next to a link that says “manage other programs access to skype” click this link and you’ll be on the window of figure 2 below. Follow the directions from here for both versions.
When you click these arrows or link it will open up the API Manager and Message Magic should be listed as “Allowed to use skype.” If it is not you click “change” so that you can allow them to communicate. See image below.

When you click change the screen below will open. You put a “tick” mark to select “Allow this program to use skype and then click “okay.” See image below.

When you click okay you will be taken back to the main API screen. Click okay and you are now set to use Message Magic. See image below.

If you find Skype does not list Message Magic at all do the following to get them to communicate and ask permission:
Be sure you have skype running. Start Message Magic and click on “load contacts” on the right side of your MM software below the text box. When you do this it will initiate them to communicate. When asked for permission tell it to allow.
A common error received when Skype and MM is not connected and/or allowed is:
****time out! please try again****
If you get this error you have not done the steps to connect them.

Message Magic generates a growing list of contacts through skype and myspace. It is something every entrepreneur, online marketer, online business, program, company or store needs…contacts.
I hear comments time to time like “i’m to busy with my current program” or “my main focus is on such and such” and okay, that’s as it should be. But…the thing I do not understand is when these very people making these comments have access to, and are paying for a software tool that is all about building contacts. Every program or business no matter what you are in needs contacts. Without them you have no customers.
Let me ask you this… How much do you spend on advertising each month without even questioning it? Do you spend time surfing traffic exchanges? You know time is money… Think about all the things you currently do to try and grow your business and the results you are getting. Are you on safe lists? Are you doing solo ads? Buying credits on exchanges? All of these things add up to expense both time and money wise and what are you getting for it?
Message Magic costs $15 a month for the paid version. There’s even a free limited use version available. With that you gain access to millions of leads. You can search and return hundreds if not thousands of users daily in a matter of moments. You do not even have to be watching while it does the searches. Then with one click you can send an add request to them. With one click you can send them a message. Do you see the power in this software?
You will not have the contact potential at this price anywhere else. Message Magic in no way competes with your business or program in any way as it is uniquely it’s own. It is a real, viable, stand alone product that happens to have a compensation plan. This is where people have lost their focus.
Those who come in to Message Magic and focus only on the earnings do earn but, do you gain as well? No. If you are not using the software you are selling yourself short and doing an injustice to yourself, the software and any program you are in.
If you added only 1 contact a day how many contacts would you have at the end of a year?
All of this for $15 a month and you can even earn income from it. How great is that? It’s like being paid to advertise!

There have been some questions coming up with the advanced search function on Message Magic.
We covered much of this in one of the workshops earlier in the week but it never hurts to add it here as well.
The main thing to keep in mind with the advanced search feature is that you will be “narrowing” down your search results.
Today this question was asked…
Question: I am just running an advanced search. Added first some keywords, then selected a country. The keywords show between 53 and 237 counts. In the Messageing list there are only 9! …. anybody got an idea? will it send my message to add contacts to only those 9?
Answer: What happens is you enter your keyword in the search pattern and then click on advanced search and add in the criteria of say “United States.” Message Magic will return all users found for the “keyword” in the search pattern window but in the users window it will only list those that are in the United States.
The patterns found and users will more than likely never match in such an instance as above. To double check the results you can even pick a couple of random user names from the ‘user’ window and do a search on skype for that name (which is what we ran live in the workshop for everyone to see) and you’ll see they pull up with being in the United States.
Another thing to keep in mind is not everyone lists their country or state so those would also be eliminated from the search.
By listing both all users found for the keyword and those for the narrowed search Message Magic gives you a guage of the difference your advanced search has made. This is a very valuable comparison.
