Please Help Rescue The Rescue

I have been in a year and a half long now divorce from my husband. He is jealous of the animals and is doing everything in his power to force the closure of the rescue. He asked the court for the property to be placed for immediate sale which was not granted. He has now decided to step outside the boundries of the court by not paying the mortgage he had taken out on the property. The mortgage was to have put up a building, barn and complete the fencing and other things needed around the rescue. None of this took place.

Now without my knowledge he stopped paying the mortgage payment. I am not on the mortgage nor is the address of the property so I was just notified when a notice was hung on my gate. It states that if $1650 is not paid by September 27th they will begin forclosure and issue a 10 day notice to vacate. That will leave me, my mother and all the animals here at the rescue with no where to go. He knows this and is what he is striving for as he knows the animals would be seized and destroyed breaking my spirit and crushing my life long work of rescue abused animals. He has no concern for the animals. Our divorce hearing has been continued to October 8th and will be to late.

My passion and motivation is, and always has been, animals. I have a non profit animal rescue Peace At Last Farms Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation, Inc. Since the farm and the animals are a full time job in itself we depend on donations and the generocity of others . You are even welcome to sponsor one of the animals. We are in need of regular monthly sponsorship. Every little bit helps. Even $20 a month goes a long way combined with the donations of others.

 There are dogs, cats, chickens, ducks, pot bellied pigs, farm pigs, a goat, horses, a parakeet and an umbrella cockatoo that currently reside here. All of these animals are abandoned and/or abused. I get the hard cases, the ones even other rescues were unable to care for so many are here to stay.

 Hard work and peoples continued support is what gives these animals a chance for “Peace At Last.”

Wish List

Some items always needed here at the rescue:

Purina Equine Sr, Whole oats, Hay, Sand clear, pot bellied pig food, pig chow, all stock, dog food, cat food and chicken feed, cat litter.

Other things we can always use:

Kiddy pools, feed and water dishes (low to ground), extra wood and tin, blankets in winter and any construction or fence materials (a piece here and there adds up to a new shelter).
